The Account Director plays a key role in client success, agency growth, and operational efficiency. Requiring a mix of high-level strategic leadership and hands-on account management, the ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver, a trusted advisor to clients, and a collaborative leader across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Leadership & Account Execution
• Serve as the primary client lead for key accounts, ensuring strategic alignment and day-to-day relationship management.
• Build and maintain trusted client relationships, acting as a strategic partner while seamlessly collaborating with agency teams.
• Develop a deep understanding of client industries, business goals, and challenges.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns that drive client growth and retention.
• Lead client presentations, oversee campaign execution, and troubleshoot challenges proactively.
• Act as the key client liaison, serving as a trusted advisor, providing strategic consultation.
Team Leadership & Culture Building
• Manage and mentor client’s account team, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.
• Lead cross-functional teams (creative, media, strategy) to deliver outstanding work that builds brands and achieves sales objectives.
• Ensure agency processes support creativity, efficiency, and profitability.
Client Growth
• Identify opportunities to expand agency services within existing accounts.
• Work with agency leadership to set client growth strategies and develop revenue plans.
• Lead the development of scopes of work for existing and prospective clients.
Financial & Operational Management
• Manage budgets, scopes of work, and contracts to ensure agency profitability.
•Lead financial and scope conversations with key client contact.
•Manage budgets and financial forecasting.
• Oversee project timelines and workflows to ensuring smooth execution.
• Provide recommendations on agency resourcing and efficiency improvements.
Qualifications & Experience
• 10+ years of experience in account management within an advertising or marketing agency.
• Proven ability to manage clients, lead teams, and drive business growth.
• Comfortable balancing big-picture thinking with hands-on execution.
• Strong strategic, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in integrated marketing across all forms of media.
